Learn How ‘DEATHLOOP’ Created Its Mind-Blowing Opening Chapter Through UX

Did you know that most of DEATHLOOP’s first chapter didn’t exist until the game was in alpha? At GDC 2022, hear the war story about how User Experience (UX) helped Arkane Studios Lyon start things off with a bang.
“DEATHLOOP’s User Research and User Experience Death Loop” is a UX Summit Session happening at the Game Developers Conference next March. During the session, campaign designer Dana Nightingale will share the story of how a ton of user research and careful attentiveness to UX design were formative to the development of the first hours of DEATHLOOP.
Dana will share how she had to level up her UX design competency quickly in order to accomplish this midnight-hour feat, resulting in dramatic changes to the game that were equal parts overwhelming success and revelations of dreadful new issues.
This talk is for anyone who loves a good game development war story, as well as user researchers and game developers interested in learning more about UX. It’s available for attendees with an All-Access or Summits pass to GDC 2022.
Join us for the Game Developers Conference to get an inside look at how DEATHLOOP used UX to get its audience primed for more. Register for GDC 2022 today!
