CHINAS by Arantxa Echevarría

The brilliant exploration of the different realities of an adopted girl of Chinese origin and a second-generation immigrant Chinese girl materialized into CHINAS, distributed by A Contracorriente Films (AS BESTAS, ARGENTINA 1985) and a success with almost half a million gross Box Office. A logical follow-up of the successful Quinzaine selected and multi-Goya awarded film CARMEN & LOLA (currently on the Top 10 Spanish Netflix). Arantxa Echevarría masters in directing this movie based on her own experience, which has captivated the Academy’s eyes with a total of 4 nominations: 2 Best New Actress (Xinyi Ye and Yeyu Ye), 1 Best New Actor (Julio Hu Chen) and Best Original Song.

CHAMPIONEXT by Javier Fresser

The successful phenomenon that has dominated the box office, surpassing “Barbenheimer” and drawing over 1.9 million admissions, returned after five years following the stunning success of the hit CHAMPIONS, once again well-accompanied with Morena Films (ON THE FRINGE, EVERYBODY KNOWS) and distributed by Universal in Spain. THE MOVIE TELLER by Lone Scherfig

NOT SUCH AN EASY LIFE by Félix Viscarret

Acclaimed for his work in the series PATRIA and FOUR SEASONS IN HAVANA, Félix Viscarret won in 2008 the Goya for best-adapted screenplay in his first appearance, UNDER THE STARS. Now, the story may repeat itself as Félix Viscarret has been nominated for best original screenplay for NOT SUCH AN EASY LIFE.

UNDER THERAPY by Gerardo Herrero

Gerardo Herrero, winner as producer of the Oscar for THE SECRET IN THEIR EYES and Cannes Golden Palm for THE WIND THAT SHAKES THE BARLEY, helms this comedy in the veins of PERFECT STRANGERS, in UNDER THERAPY three married couples undergoing therapy are summoned by their female psychologist to a meeting. Although the six performances are outstanding, Antonio Vellido managed to receive the nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

ONE NIGHT WITH ADELA by Hugo Ruíz

TIN&TINA by Rubin Stein

TIN & TINA tells the story of the faith loss of Lola (Milena Smit, PARALLEL MOTHERS) a mother who lost her children and gets involved in a situation of religious fanaticism along with her husband Adolfo (Jaime Lorente, LA CASA DE PAPEL). This shocking thriller has received a Goya nomination for Best Special Effects.
