‘The Angry Birds Movie 3’ goes into production with DNEG as animation partner

Production has started on The Angry Birds Movie 3 with Jason Sudeikis and Josh Gad returning to the voice cast for the animated video game adaptation.
Rovio Entertainment Corporation, Sega and Namit Malhotra’s production company Prime Focus Studios are in the works on The Angry Birds Movie 3, with DNEG Animation attached as animation partner.
Prime Focus Studios, Rovio and Sega will produce the movie in association with One Cool Group, Flywheel Media, and dentsu.
Part 3 will see the further adventures of Red and Chuck, voiced again by Jason Sudeikis (Ted Lasso) and Josh Gad (Frozen). More casting news will be coming soon.
The film follows the success of the first two Angry Birds movies, which together have grossed more than a half-billion around the world. Sony was the distribution partner on the first two movies, which were based on the popular game series.
The Angry Birds Movie 3 will be directed by John Rice (The Angry Birds Movie). The screenplay will be written by Thurop Van Orman (The Angry Birds Movie 2), who will also executive produce alongside Toru Nakahara (Sonic the Hedgehog). The pic will be produced by John Cohen (The Garfield Movie), Dan Chuba (The Mitchells vs. the Machines) and Carla Connor.
