The 20th China International Animation Festival “Golden Monkey Award” announced

The Golden Monkey Award ceremony of the 20th China International Cartoon and Animation Festival, hosted by the China Media Group, was held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, on the evening of May 29. Hu Jinjun, Deputy Director of the China Media Group, Huang Haifeng, member of the Standing Committee of the Hangzhou Municipal Committee and Minister of the Publicity Department, attended the ceremony and presented awards to the winning works. Thirty-four works, including Chang ‘an and Stories of Dunhuang , won awards.

The “Golden Monkey Award” competition of China International Animation Festival is an international authoritative competition for selecting excellent original animation works, and is known as “the highest honor of Chinese animation”. This year’s Golden Monkey Award competition has received 765 original animation works from 17 countries and regions including China, the United States, the United Kingdom, France and Germany since April 12, of which 88 works were shortlisted.

Shanghai Chaser Pictures Co., Ltd. selected “Chang ‘an 30,000 Miles”, Beijing Enlight Pictures Co., Ltd. selected “Oh My School“, General Television CCTV Animation Group Co., Ltd. selected “Cotton candy and Cloud Mom 1 Baby Core Plan” won the comprehensive award animation film gold, silver and bronze awards; Stories of Dunhuang, selected by CCTV Animation Group Co., Ltd. won the gold award for animation series of the Comprehensive Award; Yunqi Bowu (Hangzhou) Cultural Communication Co., Ltd. selected “Team of the Summit” won the Special Award.

At the cross-border cooperation meeting of “Golden Monkey Award” finalist works held on May 28, 30 finalist works and 28 partners actively participated, involving many fields such as talent training, IP incubation, publicity and distribution, and derivative development. At present, 15 projects have reached agreement. This year’s China International Animation Festival highlighted the focus of AI empowering and talent cultivation, organized more than 30 activities including exhibition, business exchanges, brand events, talent training and other different sectors, attracting more than 2,100 enterprises and institutions from 50 countries and regions around the world to participate, fully showcasing the high-quality development of the animation industry and helping cultivate new cultural productivity. Strive to make new breakthroughs in “internationalization, specialization, industrialization and branding”.
