The 11th Beijing International Film Festival is Open!

Founded in 2011, with the theme of “Sharing resources and win-win future”, the Beijing International Film Festival has gone through a development process of high-end starting, leap-forward promotion, integration with international standards and comprehensive upgrading. It has formed a unique positioning and style of “Master, Mass and Market”. The starlight of guests, the reputation of participating films, the degree of incubation of venture capital projects, the breadth of trade of film market elements, the theme of film forums, master classes and industry dialogues are increasingly attracting more attention. As a great platform for international exchange, a vane of the film market, an incubator of new and new works and a new brand of urban culture, the Beijing International Film Festival has grown into one of the most internationally influential annual cultural events in Beijing, playing an irreplaceable role in promoting the development of China’s film industry.

The 11th Beijing International Film Festival is a Film Festival co-sponsored by the China Media Group and The Beijing Municipal People’s Government. With the theme of “New Opportunity, New Aspect”, it will last from September 21 to September 29, 2021

The opening ceremony of the 11th Beijing International Film Festival was officially announced on September 15. Gong Li, president of the International Jury committee of the “Temple of Heaven award”, together with members of the jury, actor Chen Kun, director Chen Zhengdao, director Renee Harlin, director Nadine Rabaki, director Wu Ershan and actor Zhang Songwen, kicked off the festival. The main activities of this Beijing International Film Festival are composed of eleven activities: Tiantan Award, opening ceremony and red carpet ceremony, Beijing Exhibition, Eye-catching Future Unit, Beijing Planning · Theme Forum, Film Master Class, Beijing Market, Film Carnival, closing Ceremony and award ceremony, Beijing College Student Film Festival and “Film +”.

On the afternoon of September 28th, the Forum of Chinese animated films forum will be held in Beijing Radio and Television Station. China Animation Film Forum “New Era, New Consumption and New Scene of Animation Film Industry” is sponsored by Beijing International Film Festival Organizing Committee and undertaken by Sunac Culture Group. It mainly invites world-famous animation filmmakers, industry elites, senior experts, as well as IP business operation and marketing experts. In the form of keynote speeches and roundtable discussions, topics such as the status quo of animation film industrialization, how to build a new ecology of animation film industry with cutting-edge technology, and IP development full-link business model were discussed.
