Superights announced as global distributor for Momolu and Friends (78×7’)
International distribution company Superights has acquired global rights to the Momolu brand’s Ferly, the Finnish animation, publishing, and licensing studio announced international distribution company, Superights, will act as global distributor for preschool show, Momolu and Friends.
A co-production with Ferly, Canada-based Yellow Animation and Belgium’s Digital Graphics, the Superights deal marks the continued international expansion of the Momolu brand following its other recent commissions by ITV (U.K.), TVOKids (Canada), Knowledge (Canada), YLE (Finland), and SRC (Société Radio Canada). The distribution deal excludes German speaking territories, Finland, Norway, Benelux and Canada.
Momolu and Friends is a 2D animated series with a diverse cast of characters. It follows Momolu – a gentle, unassuming panda with a knack for stumbling into funny situations requiring his help. Each episode helps teach children how to problem-solve through art and design, manage challenges, and to work together to find solutions. The series promotes a love of arts and crafts in young audiences, applying humour while also introducing them to important socio-emotional lessons.
The IP was originally created by design specialist and arts educator Leena Fredriksson.

As the latest brand extension, Momolu and Friends joins Momolu Minis, 41 episodes of short form animation visible on YouTube, Kidoodle.TV and Playkids. Also in the Momolu universe is the Momolu
Learning Game, available globally on Nintendo Switch. As well as Momolu Minis Music on US children’s audio network Pinna.FM, a series of Audiobook Originals with global audiobook platform Storytel, and
Momolu ebooks is available on multiple reading platforms including US-based Epic!. Also in the pipeline is a global toy range with toyco United Smile.

About Digital Graphics
Digital Graphics was founded in 1994 and during the reorganisation of the entity, in 2018 two separate entities were created. Digital Graphics Studio as operator and Digital Graphics Animation focusing on production. Both entities are focusing on international productions, selling to the international TV network.
Digital Graphics Animation did coproduce That’s Joey! (3D series), Anna & Friends (3D series) with Superprod, both presently presented and sold to the TV network. Actually, DGA is working on Billy The Cowboy Hamster (2D series) coproduced with Dandelooo and Next Frames.
About Yellow Animation
Vancouver, BC, based Yellow Animation Ltd was founded in autumn 2018. The young company is comprised of an experienced team, who has worked in animation for years. The story of the team starts in 2012, when entertainment company Rovio Entertainment decided to produce its’ feature film The Angry Birds Movie in Vancouver, BC. During the years that followed, Rovio hired multiple team members to its Canadian office. Some of those team members decided to start to work with their own story world creation, leading to forming Yellow Animation Ltd.
