SRG Studios is thrilled to announce the early access release date for their upcoming PC title, Champion Shift. The action roguelike will hit the Steam storefront on February 29th and will retail for $7.99.

In a world threatened by the Dominion–a shadow corporation deadset on ultimate control–hordes of enemies occupy the streets, awaiting any individuals that dare to challenge them; little do they know, a greater force is gaining momentum. A band of renowned warriors is breaking free of their chains and setting their sights on the Dominion’s toughest challengers. With these legendary heroes at the helm–the likes of Sun Wukong, Athena, Gilgamesh, and more–the resistance threatens to topple the fragile structure of oppressive power.

 Choose Your Character

Enter the world of Champion Shift, an exciting new action roguelike that brings legendary warriors to the roguelike genre. Explore the mythical abilities of these legends through customized kits suited for their unique playstyle. Wield Tomoe’s quick bow for targeted combat, Sun Wukong’s spear for AOE damage, or Gilgamesh’s gauntlets for brute force. Each champion features a different playstyle, and additional boons are available to enhance any character’s kit; rotating chakrams add additional range to a character’s damage ability and can be stacked to increase the chakram’s speed and size. Summon a talisman to deal additional damage, covering your blind spots and pushing you closer to victory. As you fight your way through the map and earn upgrade points, players can create a customized kit, making each run different from the last.

Pimp Your Ride

Champion Shift lives up to its name through an exciting ability that allows any character to shift into a high-speed sports car at the press of a button. As you battle around the map, collect fuel orbs to power your car and consume them as you race to your next destination. Enjoy curated designs to match your character’s aesthetic, and stack additional abilities to increase your car’s damage; cut through enemies with flaming tire treads, explode into combat as you shift between hero and car, or use your vehicle as a battering ram to swiftly clear groups of enemies. The opportunities are endless!
