OTT or FAST? You don’t have to choose!

Between the ‘subscription fatigue’ and the hype of free advertised TV (FAST) channels, it is not easy to decide the next move when selling content, launching or running a video business.
Good news: you don’t have to decide, just test and grow! At OKAST we propose a modular solution that enables at any moment to launch a FAST channel based on your VOD catalog, or to start with an OTT platform then to extend it to FAST when you’re ready (and vice versa).
A turnkey solution, OKAST allows to easily deploy streaming and live audio/video platforms, FAST channels and monetize content libraries. It provides everything from the streaming architecture, platform, and design to TV and mobile applications, FAST platforms, as well as the complete management of payment systems, full advertisement solution, user CRM, and data analysis.
Producer, distributor, studio, we help you to be on big platforms (Samsung TV plus, Pluto TV, Rakuten, etc..) and aggregators, and accompany you on the ad strategy to maximize your revenues. With our European consortium FAST4EU we do even grant subsidy to any European-based company wanting to go FAST.
OKAST manages then, through its clients, more than 400 platforms and FAST channels worldwide. Among its clients are the Secom group, Museum TV, Qwest TV, MCS Extreme, MCS Basket, Good!movies, Au Nom De la Terre TV, MMA TV, Allindi, Ascot Elite, Groupe Rouge, Endemol, THEMA, Le Figaro Live, Ciné Prime, Unifrance, Secrets d’Histoire, jour2Fete, etc.
Founded in 2013 by industry veterans (formerly Canal +, France Télévisions, NewsCorp, Ubisoft, Irdeto, Viaccess), M.E.I. Group builds the cloud-based solution OKAST for key industry players like TV channels, producers, web pure players.
OKAST, the Secom group, Kinostar and VideoElephant have joined forces to launch the European FAST4EU Consortium. Co-funded by Creative Europe MEDIA, the consortium’s objective is to accelerate the development of the FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV) model in Europe and to provide a technological and content approach adapted to the European market with the capacity to expand internationally. FAST4EU welcomes all European players, broadcasters, producers or distributors of content.
