NEWEN CONNECT APPOINTS CAMILLE SERRA TO STRENGHTEN ITS FACTUAL DISTRIBUTION TEAM

Newen Connect, the distribution arm of Newen Connect, tapped former RMCD, FRANCE TV DISTRIBUTION and NBC UNIVERSAL executive Camille Serra to reinforce the Factual Distribution activity, in line with Newen Connect’s development strategy.

Reporting to Newen Connect’s SVP Factual Distribution Chloé Persyn, Serra will be in charge of developing the sales activity in US, English speaking Canada, Japan, German-speaking Europe, Eastern Europe and will oversee sales/presales in Scandinavia.

Serra joined Newen Connect in April as international sales manager, having spent a year in the same role at France TV Distribution.

Prior to that, Serra spent almost five years as an acquisitions executive at NextRadioTV, as well as a little over two years as a sales assistant for drama and animation in Southern Europe for NBCUniversal International TV Distribution.

The appointment comes following Newen Connect’s recent hire of former ITV Studios and BBC Studios exec Josephine Fontaine to head English-language acquisitions in the UK, North America and Australia.
