Extinction Rifts: retro FPS with combo mechanics reveals more details in new trailer

Inspired by classics and with a dash of humor and exaggeration, FPS pays homage to the golden age of the genre with new gameplay elements

Extinction Rifts is a frenetic action boomer shooter where the player’s power of destruction increases as he shoots enemies and destroys objects! The more you fight, the more energy you store in your Adreno-Gauntlet, a special gauntlet capable of eliminating all the enemies in an entire stage with a single blow, the Extinction Punch!

Extinction Rifts is scheduled for release in the second half of 2024 for PC (Steam), Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Playstation 4, Playstation 5 and Nintendo Switch.

The game was featured in the Latin American Games Showcase, an initiative dedicated to highlighting the most interesting and promising productions from Latin America during the Summer Games Festival in June this year.

In the game’s story, in a dystopian future, mysterious monoliths have appeared on planet earth and humanity, fearful of the origin and power of these artifacts, has begun to debate the possibility of destroying them.

However, a paramilitary terrorist group called New World has taken possession of five of the monoliths in order to use their powers for their cause: the selective extinction of the human race!

It’s up to the player, in relentless and frantic action, to locate all the monoliths and destroy them completely to ensure the survival of the planet!
