Animation! Mentoring Program for Female Creators

With the objective of implementing actions in favor of gender parity that will help build a more equitable and diverse animation industry, we announce the fourth edition of the Animation! Special Mentoring Program for Female Creators. The initiative has been developed with the support of the Institut Français d’Argentine, the MIFA Market of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and the Quirino Awards for Ibero-American Animation as a strategic partner.

After 3 successful editions, with a total of 15 projects selected, a jury made up of prominent members of the international industry chose 5 new finalists that will have access to training given by specialists focused on production, script and pitching. This program will take place virtually in early 2024. Once the mentoring is completed and thanks to the support of the Annecy International Animation Festival, one of the projects will be chosen to be presented at MIFA 2024. Through the alliance with the Quirino Awards, the 5 projects will participate as guests at the Co-Production Forum in Tenerife.

As part of the program, representatives of the Animar Cluster will provide market advice and finally, thanks to the collaboration between Animation! and the MIA (Women in the Animation Industry) Association of Spain, the selected directors will also have a one-year MIA membership and access to MIANIMA masterclasses from December 2023 to February 2024.
