We’re delighted to once again showcase a selection of the best new VR and 360 animated films from around the world. MAF was the first animation festival in the world to introduce a category for immersive storytelling and we’re excited to be presenting an international selection of films from around the world.

Drop in to Manchester Central Library throughout the day between Monday 14 – Wednesday 15 November, or on Thursday 16 November at the Bridgewater Hall, to experience these incredible films.

The best news is that this is a completely free event, so no ticket required, just pop in! Head to our website to find out more about our immersive film selection.

Chicken Run sequel will be brought to Manchester on Monday 13 November!

Having pulled off a death-defying escape from Tweedy’s farm, Ginger has finally found her dream – a peaceful island sanctuary for the whole flock, far from the dangers of the human world. When she and Rocky hatch a little girl called Molly, Ginger’s happy ending seems complete. But back on the mainland the whole of chicken-kind faces a new and terrible threat. For Ginger and her team, even if it means putting their own hard-won freedom at risk – this time, they’re breaking in!

Standalone tickets have flown off the shelves, but there’s still a chance for passholders to chick out the film – we highly recommend logging into your Eventive account and reserving your Chicken Run gala ticket now to avoid disappointment! It’s no yolk…

If that’s beaked your interest, we’re also hosting a very special ‘Making of’ session with im-peck-able Aardman director and animator Suzy Fagan Parr on Tue 14 Nov, where we’ll crack open the secrets from behind-the-scenes of the film.
