2024 Full Report and Highlights

After 7 intensive days celebrating and sharing our common passion for animation film in the Festival cinema theatres and at the Mifa, the 2024 Annecy Festival drew to a close on Saturday 15th June with the announcement of all the award winners.
This year’s edition was notably the opportunity to pay tribute to Portugal, the guest country, and to dance, our other major theme. It was also the chance to shine a spotlight on innovation and talents in the field of animation, with the creation of the new XR&Games Area, but also by providing additional Festival screenings. There was a tremendous response to the Festival, with over 17,400 accredited attendees turning out to bring the world’s animation capital to life!
