The oath of the Hong Kong Pavilion at the 20th China International Cartoon and Animation Festival (Hangzhou)

To further promote the development of Hong Kong’s digital entertainment industry in the Mainland and facilitate exchanges and cooperation between the two industries, with funding from the Creative Hong Kong (“Creative Hong Kong”), the Hong Kong Digital Entertainment Association will set up a Hong Kong Pavilion at two major exhibitions in Hangzhou and Dongguan for the first time under the theme of “Hong Kong Animation and Games Tour” to promote Hong Kong’s animation, games, collectibles, and related industries. The Hong Kong Digital Entertainment Association held a pledging ceremony for the 20th China International Animation Festival (Hangzhou) Hong Kong Pavilion today, inviting Hong Kong Digital Entertainment Association Chairman Pang Zijie, Vice President of Hong Kong Animation and Comic Federation Wen Shaolun, and representatives from a total of 30 local animation, games, collectibles, and related industry leading enterprises, including Lingbang Group, Yuan Chuangzuo, Dianwu Zhipin, and Hanghai Chuangzuo.

The Hong Kong digital entertainment industry includes game development, animation production, film and television production, film effects, interactive design, e-sports, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and extended reality (XR) and is the largest creative sector in Hong Kong. With funding from “Creative Hong Kong” for many years, Continuing on, the industry successfully secured funding to launch a series of support, subsidy, and promotion plans related to digital entertainment, covering animation, comics, video games, and collectible toy industries, coordinating the industry to cultivate talent and seize business opportunities; “Digital Harbor” has nurtured or subsidized about 170 companies engaged in digital entertainment-related industries, involving technologies including metaverse platforms and services, Web3, game development, game big data analysis, e-sports equipment and peripheral development, etc.

Hong Kong Digital Entertainment Association Chairman Pang Zijie said: “The mainland market has considerable potential, and we set up the Hong Kong Pavilion at the China International Animation and Digital Content Expo and the China International Film and Television Animation and Copyright Protection and Trade Fair for the first time, hoping to showcase the strength and talent of Hong Kong’s digital entertainment industry and promote exchanges and cooperation with the mainland industry to seize more business opportunities.”

The China International Animation and Digital Content Expo is hosted by the National Radio and Television Administration and the Zhejiang Provincial Government, covering not only comics, animation, games, and upstream and downstream industries, but also performance venues, high-tech, metaverse life, and national trends and styles. The Hong Kong Digital Entertainment Association will set up a 480-square-meter “Hong Kong Pavilion” at the China International Animation and Digital Content Expo to be held from May 29 to June 2, showcasing local digital entertainment industry talents and products. Showcasing 30 exhibitors from Hong Kong’s digital entertainment industry with over 20 intellectual property (IP) and dozens of creative products, the pavilion features classic Hong Kong comics or creative character role-playing, giant sculptures, and a variety of live sharing activities and game experience activities to enhance interaction with visitors and give them a deeper understanding of Hong Kong’s digital entertainment industry.

Following the China International Animation Festival, the project will set up a Hong Kong Pavilion again at the China International Film and Television Animation Copyright Protection and Trade Fair, which will be held from July 25 to 28. The fair is the only national-level film and television animation copyright professional exhibition in China, and it is expected that 20 promising Hong Kong digital entertainment enterprises will participate in the Hong Kong Pavilion to deepen the integration of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, promote exchanges and cooperation with regional peers and potential business partners.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

香港数码娱乐协会率30家香港动漫、游戏、潮玩及相关产业龙头公司北上觅商机

(2024年5月21日・香港讯) 为推动香港数码娱乐产业在内地的进一步发展,并促进两地产业的交流和合作,在香港特别行政区政府「创意香港」(「创意香港」)的资助下,香港数码娱乐协会将分别在杭州及东莞的大型展览项目上,首次以「潮游动漫」为主题设立香港馆,推广香港的动漫、游戏、潮玩及相关产业。香港数码娱乐协会今日率先举行第20届中国国际动漫节(杭州) 香港馆誓师大会,邀请到香港数码娱乐协会主席彭子杰、香港动漫画联会副会长温绍伦,以及羚邦集团、猿创作、点五制作、海洋创作等共30间参展的本地动漫、游戏、潮玩及相关产业龙头企业的代表出席。

香港数码娱乐业包括游戏开发、动画制作、影视制作、电影特效、互动设计、电竞、虚拟现实(VR)、扩增实境(AR)和延展实境(XR)等领域,为香港最大的创意界别。在「创意香港」的多年支持下,业界成功获资助推出一系列数码娱乐业相关的支援、资助及推广计划等,涵盖了动画、漫画、电玩游戏及潮玩玩具行业,协调业界培育人才及开拓商机;「数码港」则培育或资助了约 170 间从事数码娱乐相关行业的公司,涉及技术包括元宇宙平台及服务、Web 3、游戏开发、游戏大数据分析、电竞器材及周边研发等。 香港数码娱乐协会主席彭子杰表示:「内地市场潜力优厚,我们首次于中国国际动漫节和中国国际影视动漫版权保护和贸易博览会上设立香港馆,希望展现本地数码娱乐业界的实力及才华,促进与内地产业交流和合作,开拓更多商机。」 中国国际动漫节由国家广电总局和浙江省人民政府主办,内容不仅涵盖了漫画、动画、游戏、上下游产业链,还包括了演出秀场、高新科技、泛次元生活及国潮国风等多维度内容。香港数码娱乐协会将于5月29至6月2日举行的中国国际动漫节上设立480多平米的「香港馆」,现场展示30间参展香港企业的逾20个知识产权(IP)及其数十个创意产品,馆内更有经典的香港漫画或创

作角色的角色扮演、巨型雕塑,以及多项现场分享活动及游戏体验活动等等,加强与参观者的互动,令他们对香港数码娱乐业有更深的认识。
