Superprod Group boosts its creative division by snagging Charles Vaucelle

SUPERPROD Group keeps expanding and is eager to announce the arrival of Charles Vaucelle as Creative Director. This key recruitment follows the group’s recent rapid growth which includes the founding of a new Art Development department.

 

Charles Vaucelle graduated with a BTS degree in visual communication and has been an art enthusiast since childhood. His passion for images flourished into the successful pursuit of a creative career. He began his studies at the European School of Image in Angoulême, where he mastered the secrets and techniques of comic creation before quickly turning his attention to animation. He joined Xilam, which immediately entrusted him to guide the artistic direction of major productions such as Space Goof, Lucky Luke, and The Daltons. In 2015 he directed for Superprod the first season of international hit Pat the Dog, which sold in over 180 countries. He next directed for Hachette the first animated TV series based on the iconic property Asterix, Dogmatix and the Indomitables, for France Televisions, M6, Super RTL, Cartoon Network.

Charles Vaucelle joins SUPERPROD ANIMATION to ensure the development of new original projects for its French and international partners. He is a dynamic and talented addition to the team led by Patrick Ermosilla, Director of the Art Development department.

Led by Patrick Ermosilla, SUPERPROD ANIMATION’s creative team has grown substantially and is dedicated to the development of animation programs for the international market. SUPERPROD ANIMATION currently produces 7 series and has developed a great range of projects, both series and feature films, and works for all major broadcasters and platforms around the world.

SUPPRPROD FILMS recently produced the hit family movie Les Blagues de Toto,, as well as White Fang, selected at Sundance and Toronto and nominated at the European Film Awards (EFA), Song of the Sea, nominated for the Oscars and Césars, Best Animated Film at the EFA. SUPERPROD FILMS is currently in post production of The Lulus, a family adventure film directed by Yann Samuell, with all-star cast Alex Lutz, François Damiens, Isabelle Carré, Ahmed Sylla and Didier Bourdon.
