REGULATIONS REGISTRATION OF FILMS AT FFAA 2021

Dates and places

The 4 th edition of Abidjan animation film festival, FFAA be held in Abidjan on 28, 29, 30 May 2021.

 

  1. Which films can be tendered?

Any animation intended for children and families, intended for cinema, television and any other projection platform produced after January 1, 2018.

To compete, films must be submitted by March 20, 2021 in one of the following categories:

 

  1. a) Feature film
  2. b) Short films

 

TV shows

TV Episodes and Webisodes

  1. c) Short films to order –

Short educational or scientific films

 

Advertising or promotional films

Music Videos

  1. d) End of study film

  2. a) For selection

Videos must be uploaded directly to FilmFreeway or a web address (URL) must be incorporated when submitting for all types of films submitted to the Festival. Appropriate URLs include YouTube, Vimeo, or Dropbox. Password protected URLs are expected to be downloadable and active until May 31, 2021.

 

  1. b) For screenings in the official selection.

Directors, producers or distributors undertake to provide a copy of the presentation and a poster by April 25, 2021.

The films selected must be supplied with the Prores 422 (HQ) 1080 or High Quality H.264 codec.

 

They can be submitted digitally via an embedded URL.

Appropriate URLs include YouTube, Vimeo, or Dropbox.

Password protected URLs are expected to be downloadable and active until May 31, 2021.

 

  1. Online submissions

Only correctly completed FFAA FESTiVAL submissions will be considered and must be received before March 20, 2021.

 

  1. Selection

The selection is led by the AIFA Network content management team and the festival management. The films chosen will constitute the official selection of the festival.

The Festival will inform the tenderer by email if he has been selected, while requesting the necessary material for publications and screenings.

After being notified, participants have until April 15, 2021 to opt out of the program. No film can be withdrawn after this date.

If a film has not been selected, the Festival will inform the tenderer by email.

 

  1. Subtitling

The FFAA FESTiVAL does not subtitle any film presented at the festival. All films will be exhibited in their original language. Films that have French or English subtitles or that have been dubbed into French or English are preferred for screening.
