International Artificial Intelligence and Creativity Conference  (IAICC)

The first International Artificial Intelligence and Creativity Conference (IAICC) is slated to be held from November 15 to 17, 2024, at the Shenzhen Institute of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, located in Nanshan District, Shenzhen. The conference centers on artificial intelligence and creativity by convening professionals from the AI and creative industries to share and exchange creative works and innovative ideas, showcase cutting-edge AI and creative technologies, and spotlight transformative tools and methods that shape the future, thereby facilitating the establishment of a collaborative industrial ecosystem.

The event is replete with rich content and highlights, encompassing cutting-edge keynote speeches, in-depth roundtable forums, battle-oriented AI training courses, and innovative achievement exhibition areas showcasing the latest scientific and technological accomplishments, demonstrating the characteristics of “internationalization, specialization, practicality, and forward-lookingness”.

The convergence of wisdom from a global perspective:
To enhance international exchanges and cooperation within the industry, the first day of the event was dedicated to “Blender Theme Day”. It aims to present the creative content features and advantages of the 3D open-source tool Blender, bridging the Chinese and global Blender communities, particularly aligning with the Blender Conference design held in Amsterdam.

In addition, the event intends to invite Professor Meng Meiling from Xuan Sun Life Systems Engineering and Engineering Management at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Professor Zhu Jun from the Department of Computer Science at Tsinghua University, Dr. Liang Dingbang, the former Chief Consultant of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, and industry leaders such as Mr. Robert Minkoff, the director of the films “The Lion King”, “Mouse Little” and “Forbidden Kingdom”, the special effects supervisor of the movie “Titanic”, and Dr. Scott Ross, the co-founder of Digital Kingdom, to share on the theme, bringing a diverse international perspective to the conference.

Particularly, the conference has established professional topics such as international underlying models, generative artificial intelligence, and the application of artificial intelligence in animation for professionals in the AI and creative industries to ensure the depth and breadth of discussions. AI training courses are conducted by authoritative experts in the industry, including Olivier Amrein, the art director of Dreamscape Immersive, Dr. Sun Lifa, the co-founder and CEO of Dan Digital, and Nguyen Van Fai, a veteran producer in the Hong Kong film industry, who not only impart professional AI knowledge but also introduce the currently popular AI tools.
