Blizzard’s Game Director joins NG25 Spring

As we’re cranking up the hype machine for NG25 Spring, it’s a pleasure to announce a new speaker highlight. Blizzard Entertainment‘s Game Director Ion Hazzikostas—the mastermind steering the ship for one of the industry’s biggest titles ever —has officially signed on with the session dubbed “20 Years of World of Warcraft: Meeting Players Where They Are“.
Ion joined the WoW team in 2008, originally focused on systems and encounter design. Prior to joining Blizzard, he was a practicing attorney (by day… and raid leader by night). His talk reflects on how WoW has reinvented itself across two decades of existence, focusing on how the game has grown with its players, lessons learned along the way, and the principles that guide the game’s approach to serving its diverse player base.
More to Come—Stay Tuned!
