Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro release on iPad

Apple has announced the release of Final Cut Pro for iPad, featuring a new touch interface and tools that aim to streamline the video editing process. The software includes a jog wheel and a Magnetic Timeline, navigable via touch. Live Drawing is another added feature, allowing users to annotate video content with Apple Pencil.

The software also presents Pro Camera mode, offering manual control for focus, exposure, and white balance, as well as multicam video editing for automatic clip synchronisation. Additional features include Scene Removal Mask for background changes, Auto Crop for aspect ratio adjustments, and Voice Isolation for noise reduction.

Apple also announced Logic Pro for iPad. It uses multi-touch gestures for software instrument interaction and project navigation and can use the built-in microphones for recording. Logic Pro for iPad also provides a sound browser, over 100 instruments and effects plug-ins, and beat making and production tools. The application supports project transfer between Logic Pro for Mac and iPad.

“We’re excited to introduce Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro for iPad, allowing creators to unleash their creativity in new ways and in even more places,” said Bob Borchers, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. “With a powerful set of intuitive tools designed for the portability, performance, and touch-first interface of iPad, Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro deliver the ultimate mobile studio.”

Both applications are compatible with existing Apple products and software and offer import and export capabilities.
