CGGE (Hong Kong) Visits Jilin Animation Institute to Explore New Pathways for International Integration of Industry and Education in Digital Creativity

September 2 — A delegation from CG Global Entertainment Ltd,.(CGGE) (Hong Kong) visited Jilin Animation Institute to hold discussions on AI-era digital creative talent cultivation, innovative practices in industry-education integration, and international event collaboration. The talks explored new models for collaborative university-enterprise talent development, aiming to foster mutual empowerment between education and industry in the fields of animation and digital content. Institute Chairman and President Zheng Liguo, Vice Chairwoman Liu Xin, along with other institute leaders and heads of relevant departments, participated in the reception and discussions.

Led by Founder and CEO Raymond Neoh, CGGE delegation—including Vice Presidents Seon Xiao, Panny Wen, Chen Jiandong, Tim Chen, and Effie Zhang—toured the institute’s history museum, the premium animation manuscript exhibition, the “Academics-Research-Industry Integration” creative works exhibition, the Centennial History of Chinese Animation exhibition, and a film retrospective. The delegation gained deep insights into Jilin Animation Institute’s educational history, program achievements, and distinctive “Academics-Research-Industry Integration” model, offering high praise for the institute’s accomplishments in animation and digital creative talent cultivation and industrial practice.

During the symposium, both sides presented their respective institutional profiles, business operations, and development strategies, reviewed their prior exchanges, and held consultations on core topics including talent cultivation, industry-education integration, innovation and entrepreneurship, and international development.

During the meeting, the delegation presented actionable resources and viable implementation pathways for collaborative models.

Zheng Liguo extended a warm welcome to CGGE delegation. He noted that CGGE’s predecessor was Global Digital Creations Holdings Limited, founded by Chairman Raymond Neoh, which helped drive the development of China’s 3D animation industry and talent cultivation systems. “Jilin Animation Institute and CGGE share an innovative, pioneering mindset and have consistently followed the waves of industry transformation in exploring new paths forward,” Zheng said. He emphasized that the institute has long adhered to its “Academics-Research-Industry Integration” educational model, cultivating talent in animation and digital creativity while continuously supplying high-quality professionals to China’s 3D animation film and television industry—significantly contributing to the sector’s vigorous development. Many faculty and students who participated in the production of the animated film The Frog Kingdom have since grown into leading forces in Chinese animation creation. The institute places great emphasis on internationalization and the synergistic development of industry-education integration. Zheng expressed hope that both sides would take this exchange as an opportunity to identify collaboration entry points, leverage their respective resource advantages, bring real industry projects and standards into teaching, enhance students’ practical abilities and career readiness, jointly cultivate digital creative professionals who meet the demands of the AI-era industry, and achieve mutual benefits for both the university and the enterprise.
