Abylight announces CITADELUM, mythical city building game coming in 2024

Abylight Barcelona, the award-winning studio behind One Military Camp proudly announces the development of their new project, CITADELUM. Enjoy a city building/ strategy game based in ancient Rome, way before it was an empire, and inspired by the classic works of Virgil’s Aeneid and Ovid’s Metamorphoses.

CITADELUM is an epic tale unique in the genre, that combines a well known background with mythical experiences.

Gameplay in CITADELUM will be based on three main pillars:

• Build your own settlement, gather and refine resources, and grow and evolve until it becomes the center of power in the peninsula.
• Explore the map, free villages under siege and experience the power of the most advanced armies of the era: the Roman Legion. Once the territory is secured, you can set trade routes, import materials and scale up your economy.
• Rise to the Roman Pantheon and gain the favour of the gods. Build temples, make offerings so they will award you gifts, but, alas, their jealousy comes with a swift punishment.
