The Golden Shell Award

The Golden Shell Award was awarded to the 125-minute documentary film “Tardes de soledad” directed by Albert Serra (Spain, France, Portugal).

The Special Jury Award

The special prize of the jury was awarded to the American movie “The Last Showgirl” directed by Gia Coppola.

The Silver Shell Award for Best Director

The Silver Shell award for best director was awarded to Laura Carreira for directing the movie “On Falling” a (England, Portugal) and to Pedro Martín Calero for directing the movie “The Wailing” (Spain, Argentina, France).

The Silver Shell Award for the Best Actor

The Silver Shell award for the best leading role was awarded to Patricia López Arnaiz for her role in the Spanish film “Glimmers” directed by Pilar Palomero.

The Silver Shell Award for Best Supporting Performance

The Silver Shell award for the best supporting actor was awarded to Pierre Lottin for his role in the French movie “When Fall Is Coming” directed by François Ozon.

The Jury Award for Best Screenplay

The Jury Prize for Best Screenplay was awarded to François Ozon and Philippe Piazzo for the script When Fall Is Coming (France).

Award for Best Cinematography

The Jury Award for Best Cinematography was awarded to Piao Songri for the cinematography of “Bound in Heaven” directed by Huo Xin (China).

The Winners of the New Directors Award

The members of the jury of the New Directors Award, which were; French producer and broadcaster Philippe Bober as president of the jury, Argentinian director and programmer Eduardo Crespo as president of the jury, Irish critic and programmer Jessica Kiang, Spanish director Izibene Oñederr and Swiss director Aulona Selmani; they announced their votes as follows:

Best Director Award

The best director award was given to Piet Baumgartner for directing the “Bagger Drama” (Switzerland).

Special Mention

The jury special mention praised Antón Álvarez for directing the “La guitarra flamenca de Yerai Cortés” (Spain).

The Horizontes award was given to the movie “Kill the Jockey” directed by Luis Ortega (Argentina, Mexico, Spain, Denmark, America).
