Germany’s video games market is showing clear signs of recovery after several challenging years: revenue is growing again, the number of companies is increasing, and confidence is returning to the industry. game – The German Games Industry Association published the Annual Report of the German Games Industry 2026, providing a comprehensive overview of developments across the industry. Its individual chapters present a wealth of data on video game players, the evolution of the games market, and Germany as a games development location. Dedicated features also offer insight into the work of the Entertainment Software Self-Regulation Body (USK), the Foundation for Digital Games Culture and the esports player foundation, alongside a review of gamescom 2025 and the German Computer Game Awards 2026.
