73人受邀加入学院的动画和视觉特效分支

颁发奥斯卡奖的美国电影艺术与科学学院(Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences)邀请了395名艺术家、电影制作人和高管加入其组织。

今年，39个国家受邀参加了第一次，34个国家受邀参加了第二次。去年，这两个数字分别是81和48。

17个领域的邀请数量都大幅下降:今年学院只邀请了395名新成员，而去年是819名。该组织在一份声明中表示，这样做是“为了实现未来的稳定增长，并确保必要的基础设施、人力资源和环境来支持所有学院成员”。动画和视觉特效人员收到的邀请比例实际上已经从15.8%上升到了18.5%。

2021届的所有班级中，女性占46%，族裔/种族群体占39%，国际学生占53%(来自美国以外的49个国家)。与前几年一样，动画和视觉特效的新成员中女性数量明显不足:只有大约三分之一的新动画成员和大约五分之一的新视觉特效成员是女性。
