Unleash the Forces of Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water in Elemental Brawl on January 13, 2026

Stress-test your friendships with elemental powers!
Mayor Games, in partnership with indie.io, are proud to announce that Elemental Brawl will release on Steam on January 13. Looking for the best kind of friendship-ruining party game? Elemental Brawl combines fast-paced platforming, element absorption, and cartoon violence into a game that will leave no friend unscathed and no relationship untested – in the best possible way!
Elemental Brawl is all about coming together, then beating each other’s cute characters up. Floating platforms offer countless options to harness the elemental mechanics at the heart of the game for the players’ benefit. Found some water? Turn the slope slipper to ensure buddies slip and tumble off the platforms. Oh, there’s some fire over there? Scalding steam coming through! Or maybe it’s the earth element? Absolutely lavalicious!
With six elements that can spawn across the maps and more planned down the line, Elemental Brawl offers countless opportunities to combine and experiment with them: Steam doesn’t merely damage other players, but also pushes them and objects around the map. Water and earth produce mud, potentially trapping other players or putting them in other sticky situations, just as a giant ball of fire tumbles their way. The players’ ingenuity and creativity are the only limit, ensuring that every player has a fair chance of winning.
However, victory doesn’t simply go to those who punch the hardest: Every round is scored and may randomly turn from an all-out brawl into a minigame, where the winner is decided not by violence, but by completing the objectives. These may include hunting down totem pieces, protecting a payload, or racing against the clock and each other to destroy statues of the opposing elements…
Additional friendship-buckling potential comes from the method of scoring and team selection: Whenever a team-based minigame is rolled, players are assigned to teams at random, meaning players who just shot each other off the map using steam-propelled giant balls of mud will find themselves on the same side, fighting for the same points they were competing for just moments ago!
“Matches consisting of multiple game modes are a great way to level the playfield and help players of different skillsets to have their time to shine,” remarked Nicholas de Lucca, co-founder and creative director of Mayor Games. “That way, the chaotic fun can be shared by players of all ages and all skill levels, creating the best way to ruin friendships.”
After all, who doesn’t like to set their friends on fire or turn them into ice cubes? Elemental Brawl will put relationships to the test on January 13, on Steam.
