- Best Serious Game: Recognising impact driven serious game and gamification solutions supporting sustainable development goals.
- Excellence Award: Celebrating outstanding creative or technical craft. Entrants may highlight standout features including gameplay, mechanics, narrative, visuals, audio or underlying technology.
- Most Anticipated Game: Honouring promising unreleased upcoming projects from Swiss developers.
- Best Student Game: Spotlighting emerging generation student creators for their imagination and artistic vision.
- Content Creator Track: Separate submission stream for gaming content creators with the later 18 October deadline.
Event Background
Running since 2013, the Swiss Game Awards is Switzerland’s premier national game industry accolade. Award ceremonies have historically been hosted as part of Gamesweek Zurich. An independent jury composed of producers, game designers, cultural researchers and media critics selects nominees and winners. Past recipients include internationally acclaimed Swiss indie titles such as FAR: Lone Sails and The Wandering Village.
