Progress in Live-action Movie Aladdin:Aladdin and Jasmine Singing a Duet

Composer & lyricist of the real-life version of Aladdin – Benji Pasek & Justin Paul (La La Land, The Greatest Showman) have revealed some news recently. They wrote a new song for Princess Jasmine, indicating their admiration of the co-writer Alan Manken and Naomi Scott, the actress who plays Jasmine. The two also wrote a sweet duet for Aladdin and Jasmine, and created new segments for the soundtrack of the original Aladdin – Arabian Nights.
The film is directed by Guy Ritchie. Mena Massood plays Aladdin; Will Smith plays the Genie; Marwan Kenzari (The Mummy) plays the villain Jafar; Fangli Magnuson (“Into the Woods“) plays the original character Prince Andrea; Nassim Padured plays the original character Dalia, the maid and friend of Princess Jasmine. The film will be on screen in North America on May 24th, 2019.
