Presentation of the Mifa Animation Industry Award

 

Last night, the International Animation Film Market handed out its Mifa Animation Industry Award, a prize honoring professionals whose latest achievements have had a striking impact on the industry.

This year, Mifa chose to reward professionals from seven production companies, standard-bearers for French animation at the 2026 Oscars:

  • Sophie Mas and Natalie Portman – MountainA
    Félix de Givry and Ugo Bienvenu – Remembers
    For Arco, by Ugo Bienvenu
  • Nidia Santiago, Edwina Liard – Ikki Films
    Claire Lacombe – Puffin Pictures
    Henri Magalon – Maybe Movies
    For Little Amélie or the Character of Rain, by Maïlys Vallade, Liane-Cho Han
  • Ron Dyens – Sacrebleu Productions
    Luc Camilli – Xbo films
    For Butterfly, by Florence Miailhe

This triple Oscar selection denotes a milestone year for French animation filmmaking, showcasing the creativity, innovation and excellence of the French studios that continue to draft the history of the 7th Art.
