NVIDIA Studio Driver Brings Support For NVIDIA Omniverse Open Beta And RTX A6000 GPUs
Despite the difficulties and challenges we’ve all experienced in 2020 , the artists, continued to create, inspiring your fellow creators, co-workers, friends, family, providing entertaining, thought-provoking content and creativity during a much needed time in history.
Thank you from all of us at NVIDIA. We look forward to seeing your next creations.
As an early present to you, an assist for your creative journey, check out our brand new holiday NVIDIA Studio Driver ready for download today, which brings support for our new flagship professional NVIDIA RTX A6000 GPUs, the NVIDIA Omniverse open beta, and a host of December creator app releases from Studio partners.
The Immensely Powerful, NVIDIA RTX A6000 Has Arrived
The NVIDIA® RTX™ A6000 desktop GPU is available now at select channel partners including PNY, Leadtek, Ingram Micro and Ryoyo.
Built on the revolutionary NVIDIA Ampere architecture, RTX A6000 delivers everything professionals need to meet today’s design, creative, and scientific challenges, combining next-generation RT Cores, Tensor Cores, and CUDA® cores with 48 GB of graphics memory for unprecedented graphics, rendering, and AI performance.
Additional support for remote-access software means you can access the power of your workstation from anywhere.
NVIDIA Omniverse Now In Open Beta
NVIDIA Omniverse is an open platform for collaboration and simulation, allowing creators and designers to accelerate their workflows across remote locations in real time.
Based on Pixar’s Universal Scene Description (USD), a fundamental breakthrough of Omniverse is the ability to work synchronously between software applications like Autodesk Maya, Adobe Substance Designer, Unreal Engine 4 and more.
The open beta includes Omniverse Create for designers, creators, and specialists in media and entertainment or product design, Omniverse View for architects and construction professionals, and Omniverse Kaolin for 3D deep learning researchers.
Omniverse Machinima, Omniverse Audio2Face, and Isaac Sim 2021.1 on Omniverse will be released as open betas in 2021.
Chaos Vantage: The Fastest Route To Real-Time
Chaos Vantage is a brand new application that allows creators to explore complex 3D production scenes with real-time ray tracing. Simply drag and drop your V-Ray scenes into Vantage and start exploring without having to optimise geometry, unwrap UVs, or bake lighting. Vantage utilises Microsoft DXR API for real-time, RT Core-accelerated rendering to handle scenes with billions of polygons.
“The 3D worlds that designers operate in are moving towards real-time,” said Chaos CTO and co-founder Vlado Koylazov. “The work we’re enabling with Vantage is possible because of the capabilities of NVIDIA RTX GPUs, providing real-time ray tracing acceleration.”
Chaos Vantage requires an NVIDIA RTX series GPU
Vantage conveniently includes a live link to Autodesk 3ds Max allowing changes made in one application to be reflected in the other.
Now architects and designers can visualise their scenes in real time even faster, without having to do any additional work.
Faster Rendering With OctaneRender 2020.2
Introduced in OctaneRender 2020.1, RTX acceleration enables OctaneRender to use the dedicated RT Cores in NVIDIA RTX GPUs to accelerate ray-traced renders.
OctaneRender 2020.2 builds on that foundation with even better RT Core ray tracing performance — rending complex production scenes up to 1.6x faster than OctaneRender 2020.1 — and includes a new, fully optimised version of the Octane AI Spectral denoiser for NVIDIA Ampere GPUs.
V-Ray 5 Benchmark Ready To Test
V-Ray Benchmark is a free new standalone application to test how fast your hardware renders in V-Ray 5; comparing CPU only, NVIDIA GPUs running CUDA, and NVIDIA RTX GPUs accelerated with RT Core ray tracing using OptiX 7.

Now 3D artists reliant on V-Ray 5 can easily benchmark their systems to make informed decisions about their ideal hardware configuration.
Boris FX Releases Sapphire 2021 For New Effects And Faster Speeds
The Emmy Award-winning Sapphire suite of visual effects tools and plugins features brand new effects such as UltraGlow and UltraZap, improvements to the legendary Sapphire LensFlare designer, and continued performance gains to native CUDA GPU acceleration.
Access over 270 GPU-accelerated effects and 3,000+ presets, a powerful Effect and Transition Builder, and integrated tracking and masking with the Academy Award-winning Mocha.
Unreal Engine 4.26 Now Available
Epic Games Unreal Engine 4.26 dramatically expands its robust feature set including new GPU-accelerated features!
Unreal Engine’s light baking system, Lightmass, now offers a next-generation GPU-based beta leveraging DirectX 12 and DXR ray tracing, significantly reducing the time it takes to build complex scenes.
Multi-GPU (mGPU) support with NVIDIA NVLink enables scaling nDisplay to large LED volumes including specifying which GPU in your system should be used, for example to render an nDisplay viewport, and with in camera VFX scenarios assigning one GPU to render the camera inner frustum and another GPU to render the outer frustums, improving performance.
Epic has also released production ready hair and fur effects, animation in the sequencer, new environment lighting, movie render queue enhancements, and much more, all on top of continued support for RTX-accelerated real-time ray tracing.
