Hiroshi Ono, better known as “Mr. Dotman” passed away at the age of 64 on October 16. We are familiar with the” Dig Dug”, “Xevious”, “Pac-Man” and other games are from the hands of Hiroshi Ono, his numerous classic red and white machine games can be called the childhood memories of many old players.
Hiroshi Ono was born in Japan on June 24, 1957. Ono joined Namco in 1979, just as the company was entering a golden era in arcade games. He has participated in the creation of ” Dig Dug”, “Xevious”, “Pac-Man”, “Galaga”, “Mappy”, “Pole Position”, and many other dot matrix pixel style game titles. he also designed arcade game cabinets and marquees. Because of these popular pixel style games, he won the title of “Mr. Dotman” in the game industry.
Hiroshi ono joined Bandai Namco in 2006 as part of a change in the company. he left the company and went freelance.
