Limited Time 30% Discount
Indie VR developer Happy Kamper Pictures is celebrating the one-year anniversary of the launch of its Kaiju cosplay game. Block Buster VR with a new “Mega Multiplayer” update. This free rubber-suited action-packed adventure lets players live out their childhood fantasies of stomping through cities and toppling buildings as oversized monsters. The free Mega Multiplayer update, available today, adds two multiplayer modes – Free Play and Competitive, enhanced leaderboards, Meta achievements, and more. Block Buster VR and the free Mega Multiplayer update are available at a 30-percent discount ($13.99) off the regular $19.99 USD price for a limited time on the Meta Quest Store.
The more mayhem the merrier with Block Buster’s two all-new multiplayer modes for up to four players:
- Co-Op Free Play: Destroy the city with your friends, or other players while showing off your monster costumes and creative color combinations. Utilize the Free Play mode settings to customize your gameplay, create content, and share your very own Block Buster kaiju creation on social media.
- Competitive Dine N’ Dodge: Fight for your life, creep behind buildings, or wage an all-out assault on your nearest enemy in Block Buster’s first-ever competitive mode. Eat citizens, hurl objects at one another, or blast your foes away to gather points and take the lead. First place takes home the golden crown and 250 Karnage Points.
In addition to the new multiplayer modes, the Mega Multiplayer update includes:
- Enhanced leaderboards – players can now track their fastest times, the number of citizens eaten in single-player mode, and the value of a player’s bedroom lair collection. Future multiplayer stat updates are planned.
- 26 new Meta Achievements to expand your gameplay.
- Play balancing on several of the kaiju special attacks
