MEDIAWAN ACQUIRES INTERNATIONAL FORMAT RIGHTS TO ‘HUNGRY FOR LOVE,’ DATING SERIES PRODUCED BY SIPUR, STAMPEDE VENTURES & HOT/HSCC

Mediawan Rights’ unscripted department boards the sultry food dating format HUNGRY FOR LOVE, partnering with the co-producers to distribute the series and bring it to a global audience.

The Mediawan Rights team is proud to announce the acquisition of the new dating social experiment, HUNGRY FOR LOVE, which successfully concluded its first season run on Israel’s leading platform HOT(with hit formats including CONNECTED), taking critics and viewers alike by storm with rising viewing numbers episode after episode.

Co-produced by Tel Aviv-based global film and television studio SIPUR, led by CEO Emilio Schenker, and  STAMPEDE VENTURES, the Los Angeles-based global media company headed by Greg Silverman, the unscripted series was created by Zipi Rozenblum, Head of Formats for Sipur, and produced by Israeli powerhouse HSCC. International sales will be launched at MIPTV(Booth R7.E70).

HUNGRY FOR LOVE is a unique social experiment dating series connecting the two greatest human desires: a physical hunger for food and an emotional hunger for love. Single participants desperately trying to find love will adhere to one simple rule: Whenever they get hungry, they go on a date. No one eats alone! Guided by a psychologist, bachelors and bachelorettes will dine their way to love.

The HOT Entertainment version of the series is executive produced by Michael Peter Schmidt, Zipi Rozenblum and Emilio Schenker for Sipur; Greg Silverman, Chris Bosco, and Jay Judah for Stampede, with Claire LaPlante serving as Co-Executive Producer; and Haim Slutzki, Rinat Klein and Eitan Brown for HOT Entertainment.
