Mecha BREAK Launch On July 2, 2025

Mecha BREAK, a sci-fi mecha battle game developed by Punch Studio, has been confirmed to launch its global public beta on July 2, 2025, and will be available on the official website, Steam, and Xbox Series X|S.
Mecha BREAK is a multiplayer mecha combat game that emphasizes high-speed mecha battles, customizable modifications, and a mix of PVP and PVE gameplay. The game is set in a near-future sci-fi world where humanity is embroiled in conflicts due to resource scarcity. Players pilot high-performance mechas called “Mecha BREAK” to engage in factional battles or cooperative missions. The game features a blend of realistic and sci-fi mecha designs, emphasizing the weight and high-speed mobility of the mechas.
Core gameplay includes PVP battles (the core mode), team-based competitions such as 6v6 base capture and annihilation, with maps featuring three-dimensional spaces and tactical cover. Mechas have different characteristics, such as light (high mobility), heavy (high firepower), and support (shields/maintenance) types. PVE content includes challenges against AI-controlled giant mechas or completing dynamic tasks like escorting and defending. The game offers a deep customization system, allowing players to modify weapons (ranged/energy/melee), thrusters, and armor modules, which affect mobility, defense, and output. Players can also customize the appearance with free color schemes and decals, with some requiring unlocking or in-game purchases.
Mecha BREAK will be available on PC (Steam), PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, and supports cross-platform play. Key features include high-speed mobility with sprinting, jet jumping, and aerial combat, as well as limb destruction, where targeting weak points like weapons and legs can disable functions. The game also features interactive environments with destructible terrain and building cover, and some maps have dynamic events like sandstorms that interfere with radar. A story mode is also available as an optional feature, offering single-player and cooperative campaigns that reveal the conspiracy behind the mecha wars.
Compared to similar games, Mecha BREAK offers a unique blend of high-speed and tactical gameplay, with a moderate amount of PVE content. It follows a buy-to-play model, with no planned updates for future sequels.
