Bar Shorts at the Garden Cinema – Wednesday May 7th

The brilliant Bar Shorts team has a screening of animated shorts at the Garden Cinema coming up on Wednesday May 7th. To celebrate the launch of their new book Intimate Animation, Skwigly Editor in Chief Ben Mitchell and Dr. Laura-Beth Cowley have curated a programme of animated films that explore the sensitive, sensual – and sometimes saucy – side of animation. FLAMIN ANIMATIONS

FLAMIN Animations is a £3,500 commissioning programme for early-career Black and global majority animators living in England. This year, the scheme is presented in  partnership with the award winning London-based animation studio Blinkink, who will be providing focused support to the selected animators throughout the development and production process alongside the FLAMIN team.

LIAF/CENTRAL ST MARTINS STING TRAVELLING TO ANNECY FESTIVAL

We are really excited to say that a one-minute sting made exclusively for LIAF 2024 by Central St Martins student Isolda Milenkovic has been selected to screen in competition in the ‘Commissioned Film’s’ programme at this year’s Annecy Festival.
