The DreamWorks Television Animation series All Hail King Julien lead animated programs with nominations in seven categories for the 45th annual Daytime Emmy Awards. The tally includes four nominations for the All Hail King Julien: Exiled season of the popular Netflix series.
The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced March 22 the nominees in 98 categories covering all aspects of daytime television. The winners will be announced at a ceremony April 29 at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, hosted by Mario Lopez and Sheryl Underwood.
The Netflix special A StoryBots Christmas earned five nominations, with other animated series earning noms including: The Stinky & Dirty Show, Elena of Avalor, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, Tangled: The Series, DreamWorks Trollhunters and Tumble Leaf. Buddy Thunderstuck was nominated in the art direction, set decoration, scenic design and cinematography categories.
Also, five winners were announced in individual animation achievement categories:
