Isabela Moner(Transformers: The Last Knight)plays Dora
Eva Longoria joined Paramount’s live-action movie Dora the Explorer, playing the mother of Dora while Isabella Monet (Transformers: The Last Knight) plays Dora.
Madeleine Madden (Picnic at Hanging Rock) plays a friend of Dora in high school, Mick Moreno (Lost Paradise) plays Dora’s cousin Diego, O’Herno Delvis (How to be a Latin Lover) plays the explorer Alejandro Gutierrez.
James Bobbin (The Muppets, Alice in Wonderland 2) directed the film; Nicholas Stoller (Bad Neighbours, The Muppets), Danielle Sanchez-Witzel (New Girl) wrote the script; Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes Production Company and Walden Media co-produced the film. It will be released in North America on August 2, 2019.
This Dora will not be a 7-year-old girl as in the animation, but a teenage girl who tells the story of moving into the city, living with monkey Boots and cousin Diego and taking adventures with them.
Made in the United States by Nickelodeon, Dora the Explorer is an animated teaching film that gains popularity worldwide. From 2000 to 2014, a total of 172 episodes were broadcast, which were translated into multiple languages on a global scale and adapted into related games and stage plays.
