“Doctor Who” Star Matt Smith Reportedly Joins “Star Wars: Episode IX”

Matt Smith, the Eleventh Doctor on the BBC program Doctor Who, has been confirmed to join “Star Wars: Episode IX” and play a key role, the specific details unknown.
The film is currently being shot, and will use the unpublished pictures taken for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” by the late Carrie Reynolds Fisher. Leia, Mark Hamill (Luke), Daisy Ridley (Rey), Adam Douglas Driver (Kylo Ren), John Boyega (Finn), Oscar Isaac (Poe), Lupita Nyong’o(Maz Kanata), Domhnall Gleeson (Hux), Kelly Marie Tran (Rose), Joonas Suotamo (Chewbacca), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), etc. will return, Billy Dee Williams – the old version of “Lando” – will also show up.
Directed by J.J. Abrams, the director of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, the film will be screened in North America on December 20th, 2019.
