“Diablo Immortal” × “World of Warcraft” Crossover Event Returns: The Frozen Throne Emerges in Winter

As the conspiracy of the Firstborn subsides, the undead legions of Azeroth surge once more. “Diablo Immortal” has officially announced a new heavyweight crossover event with “World of Warcraft,” themed “Ascend the Frozen Throne.” The event begins today, featuring multiple layers of content including brand-new legendary outfits, returning battlefield gameplay, crossover legendary gems, and rich physical rewards.

Core Crossover Event: “Demon Lord Bonus Draw” to Win Frostmourne
Until 23:59 on January 6, 2026, the special in-game event “Demon Lord Bonus Draw” will be active. By completing daily demon lord challenges, players will have the chance to participate in a prize draw to win coveted collectibles, including a 1:1 replica “Frostmourne” art piece, “World of Warcraft” anniversary commemorative badge sets, themed mechanical keyboards, and digital rewards like Bilibili monthly membership cards.

Classic Battlefield “Misty Basin” Reignites the Flame
The beloved 8v8 faction-based battleground “Misty Basin” returns simultaneously. Players will transform into champions of the Alliance or the Horde, engaging in fierce battles across classic locations such as the Lumber Mill and the Blacksmith. Participation rewards include gold and leveling materials, while the two iconic “Alliance Battle Standard” and “Horde Battle Standard” back accessories (30-day duration) will also make a limited-time comeback for players to obtain.

New Legendary Outfit “Upsurge of Sorrow” Debuts
The crossover introduces the heavyweight legendary outfit “Upsurge of Sorrow,” which adapts to the player’s character gender, showcasing the signature looks of the Lich King Arthas and the Banshee Queen Sylvanas, respectively. The outfit’s weapon draws inspiration from Frostmourne. Players can acquire it by participating in the event before 02:59 on January 27, 2026, with the first exploration being free.

Crossover Legendary Gem “Skull of Sorrow” Makes a Limited-Time Return
The two-star legendary gem “Skull of Sorrow,” imbued with the Lich King’s power, will be available for a limited time in the in-game store. This gem can summon an image of the Lich King when the player deals damage, wielding Frostmourne to harvest the souls of surrounding enemies and thereby increasing damage. Upon reaching level 3, the gem also triggers additional area-of-effect damage. Players can obtain it through a series of crossover bundles available starting December 31, 2025.

Multiple Crossover Benefits Return for a Limited Time

Back Transmog “Loot-Filled Satchel” Redemption Opportunity: The previously missed “World of Warcraft” 20th-anniversary crossover back transmog “Loot-Filled Satchel” returns for a limited time. From now until March 2, 2026, eligible “Diablo Immortal” players can receive a redemption code via in-game mail to claim it in the “World of Warcraft” live servers.

Player Housing System Crossover Reward: Players who have unlocked the player housing system in “World of Warcraft” (by earning the “Welcome Home” achievement) can claim a Silvermoon City-themed portal, the “Sin’dorei Gate,” within “Diablo Immortal.” The deadline for this event is also March 2, 2026.

Exclusive Redemption Code Benefit: Players using the redemption code “No King Rules Forever” in “Diablo Immortal” will immediately receive rewards such as Immortal Keystones, Legendary Gems, and a Mysterious Set.

This crossover event marks another deep integration of Blizzard’s two classic IPs. While celebrating the return of “World of Warcraft” to the Chinese servers, it also delivers exclusive content and nostalgic experiences for players across both platforms. All event deadlines and reward redemption cutoffs are subject to the official in-game announcements.
