An Unlikely Flock Unites in New ‘Angry Birds Movie 2’ Trailer

The new official domestic trailer for Rovio and Sony’s summer release The Angry Birds Movie 2 might give fans a “What the flock?” moment. Yes, in order to face the icy threat of Zeta’s island, Red, Chuck and Bomber will have to team up with … the pigs! We also meet new characters of both the feathered and oinking varieties.
Synopsis: When a new threat emerges that puts both Bird and Pig Island in danger, Red (Jason Sudeikis), Chuck (Josh Gad), Bomb (Danny McBride) and Mighty Eagle (Peter Dinklage) recruit Chuck’s sister Silver (Rachel Bloom) and team up with pigs Leonard (Bill Hader), his assistant Courtney (Awkwafina) and techpig Garry (Sterling K. Brown) to forge an unsteady truce and form an unlikely superteam to save their homes.

The voice cast also features Leslie Jones as Zeta, Eugenio Derbez, Peter Dinklage, Zach Woods, Pete Davidson, Dove Cameron, Lil Rel HOwery, Beck Bennett, Nicki Minaj and Brooklynn Prince.
Directed by Thurop Van Orman (creator, The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack) from a screenplay by Peter Ackerman (Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs) and produced by John Cohen, The Angry Birds Movie 2 arrives in U.S. theaters on August 16.
