2025 Film Market: the CNC partners with Cannes Remakes

The Cannes Remakes section is expanding its selection of the best intellectual properties to encourage new film adaptations. This event highlights an exclusive selection of top European intellectual properties from France, Spain, and Italy, for new film and audiovisual adaptations.
Launched in 2024, the Cannes Remakes program aims to promote the international circulation of European intellectual property. In 2025, the Marché du Film is partnering with the CNC for the second consecutive year to enrich the remake market in Cannes. International buyers, sales agents, and producers are expected on the CNC Beach (Gray d’Albion) on May 19, 2025, to discover new stories to adapt for the big screen and streaming services.
Organized in two parts, the event will present an exclusive selection of the best European intellectual properties (from France, Spain, and Italy), ready to be adapted into new film versions. During these pitch sessions, five titles will be presented by the companies holding the intellectual property (IP): Iris et les hommes by Caroline Vignal (Chapka Films), Le Royaume by Julien Colonna (Goodfellas), Nous, les Leroy by Florent Bernard (Studio TF1), Rodeo by Lola Quivoron (Les Films du Losange), and Tenor by Claude Zidi Junior (Studiocanal).
This professional event also includes a series of one-on-one meetings offering intellectual property owners the opportunity to meet with producers and buyers. Ten French production, distribution, and international sales companies will present their titles: Chapka Films, France TV Distribution, Full Time Studio, Goodfellas, Les Films du Losange, Maremako, PitStop Studio, Studio TF1, Studiocanal, and Traveling Angel Films.
Around twenty Spanish and Italian titles complete the selection, with the support and collaboration of the Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts (ICAA), the Directorate General for Cinema and Audiovisual of the Italian Ministry of Culture (DGCA-MiC) and Cinecittà.
