ZED INKS A DEAL TO PRODUCE 10 EXCLUSIVE FILMS FOR CURIOSITY

Leading French documentary producer and distributor ZED (Manuel Catteau) has entered into an agreement with factual entertainment media company Curiosity to deliver 10 exclusive programs by the end of 2022. They will premiere across Curiosity’s SVOD service Curiosity Stream and the linear Curiosity Channel.
Among these 10 original productions, the 7 first to be delivered include: BESIEGED FORTRESSES, BATTLES OF LEGEND – SEASON 2 (4×52′)
Paris-based producer will deliver 4 new episodes for the series BESIEGED FORTRESSES, BATTLES OF LEGEND, a gripping series that explores how fortresses redefined the art of warfare. Produced by ZED, directed by Fabrice Buysschaert, Sophie Scala, Marion Vaqué[1]Marti & Angèle Berland, this 4×52’ 4K second season is scheduled for Spring 2022.
Episode 1: The siege of Saint John of Acre, Israel (1189)
Episode 2: The siege of Rhodes, Greece (1522)
Episode 3: The siege of Malta (1565)
Episode 4: The siege of Stirling, Scotland (1304)
Season 1, available now on Curiosity Stream and Curiosity Channel, revisits the remarkable events at the fortress of Richard the Lionheart and the siege of La Rochelle, among others.
NORMANDY, NORTHERN MEN EMPIRE
ZED is also producing a 3×52’ 4K series, directed by Juliette Desbois, that will offer a deep dive into the great armed conflicts that made Normandy one of the most coveted territories in Europe. A unique insight into 3 centuries of heroes, battles, fortresses and strategy.
The 3 episodes of this ambitious saga will be delivered for the last quarter of 2022
