ZAG Signs Miraculous Console Game Publishing Deal

ZAG’s game development division, ZAG Games, signed with U.S, game publisher GameMill Entertainment and French developer Magic Pockets for a Miraculous – Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir console game. Based on the globally renowned animated TV series that airs in over 120 countries around the globe, the as-yet-untitled action-adventure game for the entire family will be available in stores and digitally in time for holiday 2022. 

GameMill Entertainment is no stranger to licensed games as the company released last year’s G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout and is currently developing a drag racing game in partnership with NHRA.

The Miraculous franchise first entered the realm of digital gaming with the Miraculous Ladybug & Cat Noir mobile game in 2018. In Roblox, Miraculous RP: Quests of Ladybug & Cat Noir was released this year, it now boasts 245 million plays and comprises 3% of the Roblox global daily active user base, according to ZAG.And the company is working with CrazyLabs for a new mobile game — a bubble shooter called Miraculous Ladybug Puzzle RPG, this new take on bubble shooter puzzle games combines RPG elements that feature challenging fighting levels designed for a new generation of players. In the game, users will form their own superhero team starring the show’s characters. — that should hit iOS, Android, and other devices in the first quarter of next year.

Based on the Miraculous animated television series the console game is expected to launch at retail in time for holiday 2022. The Miraculous feature film will premiere in 2022 as well. The fifth season of the series — all seasons of which were recently picked up by Disney Channel and Disney+ streaming platform — is now in development.
