XP Indie Spotlight: Cococucumber

“A cinematic voxel adventure blending story, strategy, and synthwave into a galaxy-spanning journey”
Echo Generation 2
From Toronto-based studio Cococucumber, Echo Generation 2 builds on the success of the award-winning Echo Generation (Best Indie Game, Best Narrative, Best Soundtrack) with a bold, story-first sequel that blends cinematic storytelling, a handcrafted voxel artstyle, and a soaring synthwave soundtrack.
Set in a fictional Canadian small town and beyond, the game follows Jack, an ordinary father pulled into a parallel dimension, as his journey unfolds through character-driven chapters that converge in a high-stakes, galaxy-spanning finale. Its strategic, turn-based deckbuilding combat deepens engagement through character-specific deck customization and progression.
With a demo surpassing 90% positive ratings across Steam and Xbox, the game is already resonating with players. Supported by Ontario Creates and the Canada Media Fund, and in partnership with ID@Xbox / Xbox, Echo Generation 2 exemplifies the strength of Canadian studios creating globally competitive, original IP.
