Wild Bunch picks up “The Pilot: A Battle for Survival” for Europe

Wild Bunch will distribute the WWII action film “The Pilot: A Battle for Survival” in Germany, Spain and France. The distributor has acquired all rights to the film. The deal has been negotiated by Central Partnership international sales agent (a part of Gazprom Media).
Overall, “The Pilot: A Battle for Survival” has been sold to over 180 territories worldwide to date. The US rights will be handled by Well Go USA.
“We were really convinced by the story and the production value of “The Pilot”, which is also one of the most beautiful Russian films we’ve ever distributed”, says Gregory Strouk, Wild Bunch.
“Our top priorities never change. We want to release high-budget action films internationally, bringing the best entertainment content to audiences worldwide. The film is equally compelling regardless of the platform or gadget used for watching, due to the strong story and its high production value. However, we do hope it may still be possible to show it on a big screen”, says Vadim Vereschagin, CEO of Central Partnership.
The WWII feature directed by Renat Davletyarov based on an IL-2 pilot who crash-lands in a remote forest clearing after an air fight, and has to find his way back to a friendly territory battling hunger and extreme cold, evading packs of wolves and detachments of Nazi soldiers.
