AN ARTIST’S GUIDE TO PERCEPTION-BENDING NARRATIVES
Join SIGGRAPH 2021 contributor and Academy Award-nominee Erick Oh (“Opera”, “Namoo”) next Wednesday at 1:00 pm PT for this complimentary webinar! During the session, Oh will discuss how he uses various mediums to tell stories through animation, from traditional to VR, followed by one-on-one Q&A.

SIGGRAPH Frontiers is hosting two 7-part virtual courses, led by Rajesh Sharma (software engineer at Walt Disney Animation Studios) as part of its Interactions series. As an added bonus, every session includes time with a special guest expert in the field. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to challenge yourself in new areas, there’s something for everyone during these courses.**
MACHINE LEARNING AND NEURAL NETWORKS | 24 MAY – 17 JUNE
Designed as an intermediate level course, participants in each workshop session will gain a strong understanding of the basic principles of machine learning and neural networks. Rajesh will help participants build intuition around a topic and reinforce that with related mathematics, and all will walk away with the ability to apply those foundations to engineering solutions.
INTRODUCTION TO RAY TRACING | 25 MAY – 18 JUNE
Designed as an introductory level course, participants in each workshop session will gain a strong understanding of the basic principles of ray tracing. Modeled after Pete Shirley’s hugely popular Ray Tracing in a Weekend book/course, Rajesh will help participants build intuition around ray tracing algorithms with related mathematics.
