TOMY International Announces Leadership Changes

TOMY has announced several key leadership changes to position them for expanded global growth. Pete Henseler is moving to the role of non-operating Chairman of the TOMY International Board. In his new capacity, Pete will remain a key advisor to TOMY International.
Pete’s career spans over 40 years in the children’s consumer products industry at companies like Hasbro, McDonald’s and RC2. For the last 26 years Pete has been in various executive management roles at TOMY. In addition to his numerous business contributions, Pete also served as a board member for the Toy Industry Association for 3 terms, as well as Board Chairman of the Toy Industry Foundation.
“I look forward to this new role and continuing to help expand TOMY’s global business,” said Henseler. “While I will miss being involved in the day-to-day, I look forward to working in my new capacity with the TOMY International Board and Management team.”
As a result of Pete’s new role, Greg Kilrea now assumes the role of President of TOMY International for the Americas and Europe. Greg has been with TOMY International for 15 years and has served most recently as Chief Operating Officer
“While we’ll miss Pete’s participation in the day-to-day business operations, Pete will continue to lend his expert counsel and to help us seamlessly transition,” said Kilrea. We are very appreciative of all Pete has done to grow the TOMY brand internationally. Personally, he’s been a great mentor and friend. It’s been a privilege to work with him.”
Rod Voss will step into the role of Chief Operating Officer. In Rod’s 24 years with TOMY, he’s held positions in finance, marketing, product development, and most recently served as Senior Vice President of Operations. One of Rod’s key goals in his new role will be driving sustainability initiatives throughout TOMY’s operations.
TOMY has a lot on the horizon in the coming years, prompting these new shifts in leadership. “As TOMY approaches its 100th anniversary in 2024, we look forward to expanding the ways in which we bring smiles to the world through play,” said Kilrea.
