About Tokyo Animation Business Accelerator Program (TABAP)
As the heart of Japan’s vibrant animation industry, Tokyo plays a pivotal role in shaping its direction and success. However, many of Tokyo’s highly creative and unique animation projects remain underrecognized outside of Japan.
To change this perception, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) launched the Tokyo Animation Business Acceleration Program (TABAP). The Tokyo Pavilion at MIFA, established in 2016, is a key part of this initiative. Through it, TMG showcases Tokyo’s animation talent and facilitates business opportunities between Tokyo-based creators and international industry.
