The Mini Game Work Jam 2025

The Mini Game Work Jam 2025: Cultural Heritage Conservation is a unique international event where jammers will develop games that are inspired by the preservation of cultural heritage and archival collections.
Para este jam, la comunicación principal será en español. Para información en español, visite el sitio de la “Mini Game Work Jam 2025: Conservación del Patrimonio Cultural” en itch.io.
Multidisciplinary teams have the option to create interactive games spanning all types of experiences from board games, video games and more, all aiming towards raising awareness for the importance of historical conservation. Jammers will receive expert mentorship in both game design and cultural heritage, gaining skills and insight to bring their game idea to life.
This initiative is being led by the Mexico’s Ministry of Culture (Secretaría de Cultura) through the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) and the Management and Outreach Office (Dirección de Gestión y Vinculación) of the National Coordination for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage (CNCPC) in collaboration with the independent collective Mermelada de Juegos and FUNDAV – Cooperativa Argentina de Videojuegos.
Jammers from around the world are invited to participate; however, the primary language for this jam and related communications will be in Spanish. That said, don’t let a language barrier be a barrier to jam participation. If Spanish is not your primary language, we encourage using online translation tools as needed. Don’t worry about grammatical perfection – it’s a game jam not a grammar contest. Game text and audio can be in any language.
