TGA 2025 “Players’ Voice” Award Finalists Announced, 30 Titles Including Arc Raiders, Genshin Impact, and Twin Shadows Nominated

On December 2, The Game Awards officially revealed the finalists for the 2025 “Players’ Voice” award. A total of 30 games have been nominated, spanning popular titles from global developers such as Arc Raiders, Light and Shadow: Expedition 33, Hollow Knight: Silksong, Battlefield 6, Genshin Impact, Wuthering Waves, and Twin Shadows. Voting for the award has commenced simultaneously with the announcement, with the winner to be determined entirely by community votes.
Since its inception, the “Players’ Voice” award has centered on “player choice.” In 2024, the award was won by the Chinese action game Black Myth: Wukong, reflecting widespread global recognition of high-quality game development from China. This year’s nominations feature a diverse range of genres, including highly anticipated sequels like Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and Elden Ring: Shadow of the Night, indie gems such as Hollow Knight: Silksong and Hades 2, as well as ongoing live-service titles like Genshin Impact, Wuthering Waves, and Warframe, showcasing the richness of today’s gaming landscape.
The list highlights numerous titles that have garnered long-standing anticipation from players. For instance, Hollow Knight: Silksong, the sequel to the critically acclaimed indie game Hollow Knight, has maintained strong community interest since its announcement. Ninja Gaiden 4 marks the official return of the classic action series, while AAA projects like Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and Battlefield 6 demonstrate significant appeal.
Meanwhile, Chinese games have shown a strong presence in this year’s nominations. The inclusion of titles such as Genshin Impact, Wuthering Waves, and Twin Shadows not only highlights the growing global influence of Chinese games but also reflects international players’ appreciation for original Chinese IPs and gameplay designs. Among them, Twin Shadows, a uniquely styled narrative adventure game, has recently conducted tests in multiple regions and received positive feedback.
According to TGA’s official schedule, the “Players’ Voice” award voting will proceed in phases, allowing players to support their favorite games through official platforms. The first round of voting has begun following the announcement, with subsequent stages gradually narrowing down the candidates. The winner will ultimately be revealed during The Game Awards 2025 ceremony in mid-December.
