Tencent to Shut Down “Dynasty Warriors: Overlord” in July

Tencent announced on May 21 that it will terminate operations for Dynasty Warriors: Overlord (真三国无双·霸) on July 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM (Beijing Time). The decision comes as the company’s agency agreement with the game’s developer, Koei Tecmo, is set to expire.
Key Shutdown Schedule:
- May 21, 2025 (11:00 AM): In-game purchases and new user registrations disabled.
- July 22, 2025 (11:00 AM): Official server shutdown, game website closure, and login access terminated.
- July 25, 2025 (11:00 AM): Game forums and dedicated customer support services closed.

Developed under official license from Koei Tecmo, Dynasty Warriors: Overlord is a 3D ARPG mobile game based on the iconic Dynasty Warriors (真・三国无双) franchise. Launched in August 2021, the game has operated for nearly four years.
